The purpose of the newsgroup managed by the ceecprivacy.org's webmaster is to exchange views and to discuss ethical, legal and technical-organisational proposals of solutions regarding the scope of freedom and limitations of personal data processing within persons professionally dealing with personal data protection.
The decision of limitation the access to the news group only to persons professionally dealing with personal data protection has been taken in order to ensure a freedom of expression of views and a possibility to use specific examples, which cannot be publicly revealed for the sake of data protection and interests of subjects concerned.
Therefore, according to presented purpose, the newsgroup is available only for persons professionally dealing with personal data protection, appointed by data protection authorities of the countries which are signatories of the Final Declaration adopted during the Meeting of Central and Eastern Europe Data Protection Commissioners, held in December 2001 in Warsaw.
Given national data protection authority decides on granting a person the right of access to the ceecprivacy.org newsgroup. Data protection authority addresses to webmaster the request for granting authorisation which shall include name, surname, proposed identifier (login) composed of 6 marks and address of the person concerned. In case when a cumulative list of persons is sent there is no need to indicate the addresses of all of them. Information on granted identifiers (logins) and passwords will be sent to the address of the applicant. Above-mentioned authorisation request shall be sent by post, fax or e-mail to webmaster's address.
Webmaster provides the answer and sends granted identifier (login) and password to appropriate address of the applicant. The password may be changed by the user at any moment.
